Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses sound waves to break down scar tissue and promote healing.
A common misconception is that shockwave "shocks" patients. This is not the case, it utilizes acoustic sound waves to break up calcium adhesions, such as scar tissue, and promotes healing to injured tissues. When a problem has been present for a long time, the body stops healing an area, shockwave can help the body start healing again.
At the cellular level, sound waves go through and vibrate unwanted adhesions/restrictions while not harming healthy tissue. This process also promotes the creation of new blood vessels improving circulation, nutrient delivery and reduces inflammation. Additionally, shockwave therapy triggers stem cell (healing cells) activity which accelerates the healing process.
This technique increases cellular metabolism which speeds up the rate of healing. It also promotes proper tissue remodeling, allowing soft tissue fibers to straighten out faster, helping resolve chronic pain and injury non-invasively.
Cold laser therapy is a painless treatment that harnesses the power of red, infrared, and LED light to promote tissue healing and accelerate pain relief.
This therapy specifically targets muscles, tendons, and ligaments, enhancing their recovery process. The light stimulates cellular metabolism, boosts ATP (energy) production, and increases the generation of stem cells (healing cells) while improving oxygen distribution to the cells. Additionally, it speeds up the removal of excess inflammation, which can lead to long-term complications if left unchecked.
Together, these effects can reduce healing time and pain by up to four times compared to traditional methods.
By stimulating the body's natural healing processes, shockwave helps reduce pain, improve mobility, and accelerate recovery.
Here are some of the conditions that can benefit from shockwave therapy:
- Plantar fasciitis -Shoulder pain
-Rotator cuff tendinitis -Frozen shoulder
-Shoulder dislocations -Tennis/Golfer's elbow
-Carpal Tunnel -Back strain/pain
-Jumper's/Runner's Knee -Patellar tendonitis
-Meniscus injuries -Shin splints
- Hip, knee, or shoulder bursitis -Ligament injuries/pain
-Chronic (+21 days) conditions -Scar tissue
-Bone spurs -Soft tissue injuries
-Musculoskeletal conditions -Tight muscles
Cold laser therapy is a versatile and non-invasive treatment that promotes healing, reduces inflammation, and relieves pain.
It can be used to effectively treat a wide range of conditions, including:
-Tennis and golfer’s elbow
-Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
-Ligament and tendon strains/sprains/tears
-Osteoarthritis
-Plantar Fasciitis
-Concussions
-TMJ
-Jaw Pain
-Neck strain
-Shoulder dislocation
-Hip & Knee Osteoarthritis
-Bursitis (Hip, knee, shoulder, etc.)
-Fibromyalgia
-Soft Tissue Sprain/strain/tears
-Acute (1-7 days) & Subacute (7-21 days) conditions
-Nerve pain
-Tendonitis, Tenosynovitis or Tendinopathy

Combining shockwave therapy and cold laser therapy provides powerful benefits for accelerated healing and pain relief. Shockwave therapy promotes tissue regeneration, increases blood flow, and breaks down scar tissue, making it particularly effective for chronic pain and stubborn injuries. Cold laser therapy complements these effects by enhancing cellular energy and reducing inflammation, further facilitating recovery and tissue repair.
Together, these therapies amplify the body’s natural healing processes, kickstarting recovery that may not have occurred on its own. This combination proves to be highly effective for addressing musculoskeletal issues, soft tissue injuries (such as those affecting muscles, tendons, and ligaments), and providing long-lasting pain relief.
Involves a comprehensive assessment, treatment plan, consult from our Therapist, and a treatment.
All new shockwave/cold laser patients must book this appointment initially.
